About
Critical Thinking Social Empowerment Foundation is an organization with a mission to promote critical thinking in all areas of human endeavor. It was started in 2019 as the Center for Critical Thinking but was incorporated on February 21, 2022 as Critical Thinking Social Empowerment Foundation with Reg no. 174331. Inspired by the positive reception of the iDoubt article in Skeptical Inquirer, the organization focuses of on the promotion of critical thinking in schools.
What We Do
- We campaign for the application of critical thinking skills in all spheres of life.
- We develop and produce critical thinking books, learning aid materials and other resources for schools and institutions.
- We conduct critical thinking trainings and workshops for schools, pupils/students, teachers and educators, the employed and those seeking employment, in public or private sectors.
- We lobby for the introduction of the subject of critical thinking/reasoning in schools.
Board
CTSEF has a board of trustees that meets regularly to consider and determine policies and strategies in accordance with the constitution of the organization. The trustees are Leo Igwe (Chair), James Ibor, and Jimkelly Abegbe.
